Jose De Mara joins PLAYNOW
More than two decades of house and tech house, founder of the ARCADIA label and number 1 on Beatport's Hype Tech House chart with «To My Beat».
PLAYNOW is pleased to announce that Jose De Mara has joined its main roster. A Spanish DJ and producer and the founder of the ARCADIA label, he brings more than two decades in the international electronic scene and a house and tech house profile built for clubs, festivals and big dancefloors. He is one of Spain's most established names in the genre.
A career built on leading labels
His music has been released on labels such as Tomorrowland Music, Armada Music, Spinnin' Records, Toolroom, SIZE Records and Sony Music, with support from Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. He has been nominated several times as best producer and artist by Vicious Magazine. These are some of the milestones:
- 2021. His remix of Binary Finary's classic «1998» comes out on Armind, Armin van Buuren's label. It was the most supported trance track of the year: more than 300 DJs played it, it reached number 2 on Beatport and topped the 1001Tracklists trance chart.
- 2023. «To My Beat» reaches number 1 on Beatport's Hype Tech House chart.
- 2024. He releases «D.R.A.M.A.» with Dutch duo Mr. Belt & Wezol on Tomorrowland Music and makes his Tomorrowland debut.
His tracks have passed 225 million streams on digital platforms, and artists such as GORDO and Swedish House Mafia have played them in their sets.
From Tomorrowland to Pacha New York
As a DJ he has played in more than 20 countries across Europe, North America, Africa and the Middle East, at clubs and festivals such as Tomorrowland, Pacha New York, Privilege Ibiza, Eden Ibiza and Fabrik Madrid. In 2025 he played Playa Soleil in Ibiza.
ARCADIA, his own label
Alongside his artist career, he founded Arcadia Music, an independent platform with more than 100 releases dedicated to club music and to giving space to new talent. «To My Beat» and «Where The Party People At» came out on his own label.
