VITE joins PLAYNOW: from Tulum to Renaissance and SCI+TEC

PLAYNOW is pleased to announce that VITE has joined its roster. This signing comes with a distinction worth stating up front: as well as being a DJ and producer of melodic house and techno, VITE is the music director of an international club, which makes him the only artist on our roster who also programmes from the other side of the table.

A career built out of Mexico

VITE is based in Tulum, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, and works a field that runs from deep and melodic house into melodic techno: long sets, built in phases, more interested in holding an atmosphere than in resolving it early.

His first releases came out on niche labels from the Mexican and international circuit: «Saturn / In the Shadows» on Animo Records (2019), the «Pleasure EP» on Tale and Tone (2020) and «Marea» on Telematique (2021). That period also produced the relationship that has shaped everything since, his standing creative partnership with MIGANOVA.

Twelve months, two landmark labels

His step up has not been gradual. In barely a year he has moved from niche imprints to two of the most storied houses in the melodic circuit. These are the milestones:

2023. «Solar Vision» on ASTHETICS and «Midway» on Musique de Lune.
2024. «Sontial» on Akbal Music, «Boom» on TEN IBIZA, the «Goodbye EP» on Sinner and «My Life», with a Damon Jee remix.
2025. «Deliverance» on Renaissance Music, the historic label of Sasha and John Digweed, with remixes by Musumeci, Colossio, Cipy and Fec; his own episode on Ren' Radio alongside MIGANOVA; and «Kekei» on Secret Feelings.
2026. «Open Light» on Sinner and «Heals My Soul» on SCI+TEC, the label run by Dubfire.

Vagalume and SINNER: programming as well as playing

Since 2024, VITE has been the music director of Vagalume Beach Club in Tulum. He does not simply play the house: he also decides who does. He has shared the bill there with Hernán Cattáneo and DJ Tennis, and the same venue hosts SINNER, the party and digital label he co-founded with MIGANOVA, running since March 2024 as the place where the project releases and tests its own material. Outside Mexico, he headlined his own billing on 10 October 2024 at Mon Ami, Santa Monica, as part of the «Definition presents» series.

For a programmer, that dual role is a practical guarantee. VITE reads a line-up, a running order and a budget from the inside, because he signs off on them every week at his own venue, and that understanding shows both in the conversation beforehand and in the way the set is built.
