PLAYNOW is pleased to announce that Fran Arés has joined its roster. Born in Madrid, releasing records since 2013 and founder of AND DANCE, he brings with him one of the most solid structures in Spanish tech house: a label that has grown into a platform, a radio show in its eighth season and a diary that spans more than 20 countries.

Madrid, 2013: the catalogue came first

Fran Arés came up through the Madrid club circuit and made his recording debut in 2013 with «The Gautama EP» on Alleanza and «Rocker EP» on Avenue Recordings. His career has been built in that order ever since: the music first, the circuit that sustains it afterwards.

House and tech house are, in his hands, a single language: a continuous groove, dry percussion and a reading of the floor designed to carry a whole night rather than one peak moment. That approach explains the labels he has worked with —Toolroom, Solä, Glasgow Underground, La Pera, Soave, Criterio, Know Where, Be One, Low Ceiling and Alleanza— and the consistency with which he releases.

A discography mapped label by label

These are the milestones that organise his catalogue:

  • 2013. Recording debut with «The Gautama EP» on Alleanza and «Rocker EP» on Avenue Recordings.
  • 2018. He founds AND DANCE and opens it with «Go Ahead» and «People, Want Some»; the same year brings «Fantastic Job» alongside Chelina Manuhutu.
  • 2021. «CARNAN» lands on Toolroom's «Toolroom House Party Vol. 5», and «Rockin» arrives on La Pera with Admro.
  • 2024. «Dancefloor» and «Saltado» on La Pera, «Groovy Vibes» with David Treble and «Move Your Body» on Freenzy Music.
  • 2025. «Circumstances EP» with Castion on Solä, plus a run of his own on AND DANCE: «Enigma», «Forever Fiesta», «Stampers», «Summer Dream» and «Calentura».
  • 2026. «MiSo» and «Can't Stop» with German producer Leman, «Jump On The Vibe» with Darío Núñez and a series of solo releases —«Fantasy», «Pelada», «Super Cool», «Starlight» and «Better Life»—. His official biography also places his Tomorrowland debut in this year.

In between sit «La Fortuna» (Safe Underground), «El Jem» (RIM), the «House Nation EP» (Low Ceiling) and «Get Down» (Casa Rossa), released between 2020 and 2022.

AND DANCE: from label to platform

AND DANCE began in 2018 as a label and now operates as a full platform: catalogue, artists, showcases, events and its own clothing line, &D Wear. More than 700 tracks and more than 400 producers have passed through it, a scale that explains why the project now travels under its own name, above any single release.

Alongside it runs «Enjoy And Dance», his show on LocaFM, which has passed 400 episodes and is entering its eighth season under the motto «Enjoy! And Dance!». One technical note worth having in hand when programming him: Fran Arés performs on four decks, a set-up that is part of his artistic proposal and that shapes the booth requirements.

An artist who releases, programmes and broadcasts every week arrives in the booth with his criteria already formed.

What he brings to the roster

His arrival reinforces the house and tech house axis of our roster with an unusual profile: an artist who brings original material, a label and a community as well as a set. He suits three kinds of booking:

  • Clubs with weekly programming, where his reading of the floor and the four-deck format sustain long sets.
  • Festivals and large-format venues, with recognisable original material and a set curve built for open stages.
  • Label showcases, using AND DANCE as the frame and building the night around its catalogue and its artists.

How to book him

Fran Arés is booked through PLAYNOW. Please provide the date, city, type of event, expected capacity, running times and whether you would like the four-deck format, and we will come back with availability, fee and technical terms. You will find his biography, styles and links on Fran Arés's profile, and you can write to us from the contact page.
